Visited with the head of oncology on the 7th and took my first infusion of this series on the 10th.

Things seem to go smooth the transition from Eugene to here. I have already had an appointment with my regular VA doctor, talked with the respiratory folks about my CPAP, and had my first infusion.

This infusion series will be 5FU and irinotecan (20% reduced because of nausea concerns). No bevi because of the pulmonary embolisms in both of my lungs. Got a nice bit of bling out of it - my anti-coagulant bracelet. This first infusion had very few side effects. The last thing we tried for my nausea is keeping it under control. Good appetite and water doesn’t start tasting so bad I can’t drink it. Toilet visits seem to be more stable and nothing severe. That is a huge win!

I have a CT scan scheduled for September 4th. I have pretty much fallen off the keto wagon while we are looking for a place to call home so I am interested in what my scan will show. I believe that eating no sugar in the past has helped my treatment and this upcoming scan may show no change or growth in my tumors. We shall see.
