Julie and I put the house up for sale before Christmas; the middle of January brought us an offer we accepted.

We realized we didn’t have the health between us or the funds to maintain and improve the Old Lorane homestead (this is one of the big reasons we had to find a new home for Bear). So the house went up for sale last December, though we knew there would be no-one looking before the new year.

During January we had two parties come by and look at the place, and the second made an offer. We accepted, and the inspector paid us a visit. Keep in mind, this is a 1978 mobile home; there are a few rough spots and repairs needed, but the floor-plan is fantastic and there are no deal breakers. The buyers want to see some repairs done, and the contractor comes by this Saturday to generate a bid.
